Datuk Nik Airina Nik Jaffar was appointed as the Managing Director of PLUS Malaysia Berhad (“PMB”) on 1 May 2023. She holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Miami, Florida, United States of America. 



Datuk Nik Airina is an engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in project development, concession management, project and asset managements both in Malaysia and at the international level, having been involved in the development/ management of various infrastructure projects including the North-South Expressway, Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road (Indonesia), Manila-Cavite Expressway (Philippines), LRT Extension and Pan Borneo Sabah Highway.  



Datuk Nik Airina has held several senior leadership roles in various companies including Managing Director of Opus Group Berhad, Group Chief Business Development Officer of UEM Group Berhad, Managing Director of UEM Builders Berhad and Managing Director of Special Projects of UEM Group Berhad.  



Her active involvement in the industry associations and institutions is well-acknowledged. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), UK and previously served as the Vice Chairman of CIHT Malaysia. She was also a Council Member of the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia as well as the Road Engineering Association of Malaysia. In addition, Datuk Nik Airina had also served as a committee member of the Intelligent Transport System Association of Malaysia. 



Currently, Datuk Nik Airina also sits on the Board of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and wholly-owned subsidiaries of PMB including Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad, Teras Teknologi Sdn Bhd and Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 2 Sdn Bhd.
