Ikhwan Azlan Mokhtar

Chief Human Resources Officer, EPF

Iwan Azlan bin Mokhtar is a seasoned human resources professional with over 30 years of experience across various prominent Malaysian organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, graduating in 1990. He began his career as an officer at Maybank. He then joined Shell Group, where he dedicated 17 years to various human resources roles, both domestically and internationally.



In 2009, Iwan transitioned to MISC Berhad, serving as Vice President of Human Resources Management until 2020. He subsequently joined Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) as Chief People Officer in 2020. On September 24, 2021, Iwan was appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in Malaysia. In this role, he is responsible for driving human resources initiatives toward organizational transformation and developing the strategic direction of the Human Resources Division. He also oversees the management of the People Matters Department and the EPF Learning Campus. Throughout his career, Iwan has been instrumental in shaping human resources strategies and initiatives, contributing significantly to the growth and transformation of the organizations he has served.
