Amni Hidayah

Senior General Manager, Business Development 

Amni Hidayah is a senior energy executive, speaker and moderator with 17 years of experience
spanning commercial strategy, business development, stakeholder engagement, regulatory
affairs and energy policy. She currently serves as Senior General Manager, Business
Development at Sabah International Petroleum, where she leads strategic partnerships,
commercial negotiations and corporate growth initiatives, including negotiations for projects
exceeding RM200 million and the establishment of a new Oil & Gas Services and Equipment
(OGSE) business. Throughout her career with organisations including PETRONAS, Gas
Malaysia, Frost & Sullivan, Deleum, she has worked extensively with government ministries,
regulators, state agencies, investors and industry leaders on initiatives related to energy
security, infrastructure development, investment, ESG, sustainability and the energy
transition.

As a speaker, Amni regularly shares insights on topics at the intersection of energy, leadership
and organisational performance. Her speaking engagements include forums with the Ministry
of Economy, Energy Commission, Tokyo Gas, Gas Malaysia and PETRONAS, covering subjects
such as national energy security, resilient natural gas infrastructure, ESG, women in
leadership, diversity and inclusion, mental fitness, workplace wellbeing and workplace
culture. A former member of the Learning & Development Committee of the Malaysian Gas
Association (2023–2024), she is passionate about developing future leaders and facilitating
meaningful conversations that inspire action and industry collaboration.
Amni is also an experienced moderator, recognised for leading high-level discussions involving
policymakers, regulators, industry captains and subject matter experts. She has moderated
executive forums organised by Gas Malaysia Berhad, the Malaysian Gas Association, Northern
Corridor Economic Region (NCER), Malaysia Women in Energy (MyWiE), Cagamas, Bank
Negara Malaysia, Frost & Sullivan and PETRONAS on topics including energy security, ESG,
sustainable infrastructure, energy transition, investment, smart cities, branding and women
in energy. Known for her engaging and thoughtful moderation style, she brings together
diverse perspectives to facilitate insightful, balanced and impactful dialogue that resonates
with both industry leaders and wider audiences.
