
Ellisha Othman

Ellisha is a Clinical Psychologist and Managing Director of Thrive Well, a trauma-informed community mental health social enterprise. Formerly in corporate finance, she transitioned to psychology and led the development of a community mental health framework at SOLS Health (2015-2020) with the support of SOLS 24/7 Foundation, targeting low-income, neurodivergent, indigenous populations, domestic violence survivors, and refugees.
At Thrive Well, Ellisha oversees the strategic direction and operations, leading the organization to provide sustainable and accessible trauma-informed mental health services, including research, advocacy, consulting, community development, and clinical services. She has collaborated with various organizations on workplace wellbeing strategies to transform organizational culture and advocate for employee wellness.
As a clinical supervisor at local and international universities, she integrates trauma-informed approaches in training junior clinicians. Trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Adlerian Psychology, she specializes in child, adolescent, and adult mental health, focusing on trauma intervention and workplace wellness programs.
A strong advocate for her profession, Ellisha served as Honorary Treasurer of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (2017-2019) and is currently Vice-President of the National Alliance of Mental Health. She advises universities on trauma-informed mental health curriculum and practices.
