Khairul Anwar

Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Director for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, Coca-Cola Bottling Investments Group, Coca Cola Malaysia

Khairul Anwar is the Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS) Director for Coca-Cola’s bottling operations in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, a role he has held since April 2022. He joined Coca-Cola in 2016 as Communications Manager in Malaysia, later serving as Head of PACS before taking on the PACS Director role in Myanmar from October 2019 to March 2022.

He leads enterprise-wide efforts across government affairs, public policy, corporate communications and crisis management, working closely with stakeholders to strengthen regulatory alignment, business continuity and corporate reputation. He has built strong partnerships with government agencies, industry players and NGOs to advance shared priorities, including stakeholder collaboration on recycling, community development and broader sustainability efforts.

In sustainability, Khairul has supported initiatives under the “World Without Waste” (now Packaging Sustainability) agenda, including the introduction of 100% rPET packaging in Malaysia, Singapore and Myanmar. His work also spans water stewardship, economic empowerment, SME development and humanitarian response.

Khairul actively contributes to public-private platforms and industry groups, where he serves in leadership capacities, including board roles. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Economics from Multimedia University, Malaysia and in 2024 completed the ESG Leadership Program with Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
