DARREN LO

Darren Lo is a Human Resources (HR) professional with more than 15 years of working experience in multinational and local companies in Malaysia from various industries such as industrial, banking, property, Market Expansion Services, healthcare, telecommunications as well as Oil and Gas industries.

Darren is passionate about developing human capital both within the organisation he works for as well as on a macro level. He enjoys learning and keeps himself abreast of the latest technology and trends especially those related to the HR fraternity such as AI and automation. On top of that, he actively uses omni channels to champion the cause for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) as well as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

Darren conducts various trainings on Leadership, Negotiations, Recruitment, Performance Management, People Management, Emotional Intelligence, Personal Effectiveness, First-time Managers, Effective Communications and more.

In the past year, Darren was invited to speak in Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP)’s Northern Industrial Career Engagement 8 & Entrepreneurship Fair (NICE8 - EF) held from 11-13 June 2023 on “Engineer Your Network, Engineer Your Future: The Power of Networking”. Darren also shared on the Best Practices in HR in the 2023 Human Capital Management Conference (HCMC) attended by the Master’s Degree students of UUM held at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Kuala Lumpur campus. 

Darren graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Human Resource Management (Hons.) from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Kedah. He is a member of Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) and Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers (MAPS).
